We Cannot Censor The Web:Google

Indian courts asked the Internet companies to monitor the content on their sites and warned that India will impose restrictions like china. Google is among the 21 companies which have been summoned by a Delhi court on 13 March. for allegedly hosting offensive content.Another hearing will be held on 2 February 2012.


Google's chief business officer Nikesh Arora's answer to this was "We cannot censor the Web. We cannot censor the ability of people to express themselves around

Second Ninja Video Admin Jailed

Another administrator of  ninjavideo.net ,one of the main targets of U.S governments operation against piracy,has been sentenced.His name is Mathew Howard Smith and he was known online as Dead1ne.He received 14 months in prison,2 years supervised release and was ordered to pay back over $172,000 he earned from this site.The site has been unavailable since June 30, 2010 as a result of a multinational anti-piracy effort led by the U.S Federal Government.Smith ran the site from 2008 until its shutdown in 2010. 
Another "co-founder" of the website is Zoi Mertzanis of Greece.The site now shows this

SOPA,PIPA and India

Wikipedia was just displaying "Imagine a world with out free knowledge" and a paragraph till Wednesday.Wikipedia was protesting against anti-piracy laws that will be debated next week in the US congress.

Facebook hires Ankur for Rs 65 lakh per year

Ankur Dahia a student of The Indian Institute Of Technology(IIT) Delhi got hired by facebook for rs 65 lakh per annum.Ankur is 21 years old and belongs to Rohtak.

This is the first time that facebook has hired someone from IIT Delhi .Facebook tried to recruit students from the institute last year but failed.They then hired a student from IIT-Chennai.

Ankur will be placed in Paolo Alto,California after he finishes his course this year.
